How to get to the Abyss in Hollow Knight.

You can go back and fight Markoth in Kingdom’s Edge and pick up the Sharp Shadow charm in Deepnest. Now that you have the Shade Cloak you can reach some areas that were previously inaccessible. Climb back up the Abyss and Hornet will be waiting for you at the top with a message. Head back to the left and dash past the Void Tendrils to find an Ancient Egg. Continue to the right and stand in the fountain to receive the Shade Cloak. You can now drop down and super dash across the lake. Enter the lighthouse and hit the lever to turn on the light. Make your way up the lighthouse, killing the Siblings along the way. You wont’ be able to make it across the lake without turning on the light in the lighthouse first. Stand on the podium and cast the Howling Wraiths spell to upgrade it to the Abyss Shriek. You’ll need to have the Howling Wraiths ability from the Fog Canyon first. To the left is a podium where you can get the Abyss Shriek. When you pick up the Lifeblood Core you’ll end up back at the Lifeblood Gate.ĭrop down to the bottom of the Abyss. To the right is the Lifeblood Core charm that adds 4 Lifeblood Hearts to your health. To the left you’ll find an Ancient Egg that you can sell to Lemm for 1200 Geo.

Make your way through the spiked cavern until you reach the ledge where you can drop off either to the left or the right.

You should drop down to the Lifeblood door entrance. If you want the Lifeblood Core charm make sure you stop at the Bench above the Abyss and use the Lifeblood Heart and Joni’s Blessing to get 15 Lifeblood Hearts.ĭrop down about one third of the way down the Abyss and then jump across to the left wall.

If you have the King’s Brand from Kingdom’s Edge the door will open for you. From the Ancient Basin head down to the door to The Abyss.
